  • Michele-ShorterBDHQ and Body Dynamics 24hr Fitness

Michele is the driving force behind Body Dynamics and the Bootcamp fitness training program. She has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years, a certified personal trainer with American Council of Exercise (ACE), BCRPA Strength and Group Trainer and as a Sports Nutrition Specialist. In 1996, she created Body Dynamics Bootcamp - Victoria's first outdoor Bootcamp-style fitness program. She is certified in pre and post-natal fitness and developed Victoria's first "Baby Bootcamp" - a program dedicated solely to new moms, or soon-to-be moms.  She opened the studio on Johnson St in 2008.

  • Lovisa-AndersonBDHQ

Lovisa has been a trainer with BDHQ since 2001. She's the manager of the studio, Bootcamp and indoor instructor. Growing up, she was super active and always had a passion for fitness and health and has continued to live actively through teaching this way of life to others. Her life has revolved around fitness for so many years that doing anything other than being active just seemed wasteful.  “When you're sweating together in a group and there's loud music playing, you feel like you're part of something beyond just a workout.”

  • alannahBDHQ

Alannah is a CSEP (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology) certified personal trainer and has completed her diploma in Exercise and Wellness at Camosun College. She will be continuing on with her education to get her degree in Sport and Fitness Leadership in the fall. Alannah will become a CSEP-CEP (certified exercise philologist) when she finishes her degree. Alannah has always had a passion for all things health and fitness related. She strives to challenge her clients while keeping them motivated and wanting more. Her speciality is outdoor bootcamp. "There is something powerful about using your surroundings and your own body weight to get a great workout in."

  • joshBDHQ

Josh has a background in a variety of sports, such as baseball, basketball, and soccer. Playing these sports throughout his life has molded him into the fitness loving, active person he is today. Josh has a passion for teaching people how to train with a purpose and how to train for daily function. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, kayaking, canoeing, and anything that gets him outdoors. Josh is in the final year of his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Wellness. He also volunteers for the Victoria Vikes Men’s basketball team as an assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Johnny is a local Realtor and been BCRPA certified since the 2001. He has been working out consistently from a very young age, always maintaining a very balanced and challenging work-out routine. Johnny is passionate about motivating others to train hard as well and has been enjoying teaching spin classes for five years now. • jill
    Body Dynamics 24hr Fitness

Jill got into team sports and at the ripe old age of 13. In the early 90’s, Jill became a BCRPA certified trainer and group fitness instructor.

Always seeking that next level, in the late 90’s Jill joined a boxing club in Duncan (V.A.R.S) and stepped into the ring for several years.  A few black eyes later, Jill turned her mind to coaching and through the Canadian Amateur Boxing Association and the National Couching Certificate Program (NCCP) achieved her Level 1 and Level 2 Amateur Boxing Certificate and trained amateur fighters for a few years and loved every minute of it!

Jill started leading spinning classes at Odyssey (now BDHQ2) in 2003 as well as boot camps and killer abs classes.  She loves to inspire people and thinks of her BDHQ2 time as her healthy social life with like-minded friends.  In the last 2 years, Jill tried her hand at fitness competitions in the “figure” category.  Her first competition was the Sandra Wickham Classic in 2011, where she placed 3rd and qualified for the Provincials. That lead her to the Western Canadians in May 2012 where she placed 1st – once again in figure.  Jill balances her career in the Provincial Government with her fitness job.

  • rayleneBody Dynamics 24hr Fitness

Influenced by her parents at an early age (her mom’s commitment to aerobic classes and her dad’s regimented gym routine), Raylene quickly developed a desire to incorporate fitness and a healthy lifestyle into her own daily schedule. Figure skating and track and field were the sports of her choice throughout her school years. Later on, when her skates and spikes were hung up, Raylene took on an active role at the local gym. Lifting weights was her new sport! Aerobic and spin classes became part of the routine shortly after. She became a certified BCRPA strength and group fitness instructor and began leading classes in 2004. These days you can find her running Dallas Road in the early mornings and teaching and participating in BDHQ2 classes throughout the week. With her overall passion for fitness, along with some good motivational tunes and a high energy teaching style, she is sure to help you get your sweat on!

  • Scott McElroyBody Dynamics 24hr Fitness

A life of activity has lead me to instructing Kettlebells at Body Dynamics 24hr Fitness. You may have seen me around the gym since I have been a member of Odyssey Fitness (now Body Dynamics 24hr Fitness) since 1988. Since it became BD24hr Fitness, I have formed a passion for Kettlebells. Now I am very excited to bring that passion to the instruction side of the floor.

  • DianeBody Dynamics 24hr Fitness

Ever since my days as a university student, I have worked out at or been a member of a gym, but I focused mostly on cardio.  My approach to training changed about 12 years ago, when I began to learn karate.  I found I really enjoyed training for more than just cardio and I slowly branched out into strength training and high intensity interval fitness classes.  I eventually found The Drill, where I was first exposed to kettlebells.  From that first time, I was hooked and in the last two years, I have rarely missed a Kettlebell training class at Body Dynamics 24HR fitness.  I am excited to take on an instructor role in Kettlebells and hope I can be an ambassador for Kettelbell training, and inspire others to find the passion for this that I have.
